Day 1 & 2 of #100daysofcode #Dataengineering

When you think that it's coming to an end that is when you realise is just getting started. The past few days was research upon research. knowing how to code is not enough but having the basis of how #dataengineering works is as key as having not to jump into a building without using the staircase to reach your room in a story building.

With this in mind I decide to start my career as a #dataengineering from scratch.

I'm currently taking #dataengineering course with DataCamp... Yes you read that right ✅️ It's a paid class but I know it will be worth it with time.

Here are some few things I took home after completing the course; Understanding #dataengineering.

I can now define #dataengineering, understanding how important it is. Understanding how #dataengineering differs from #datascientists, and how pipelines ensure the data flows efficiently through an organisation.

I am also able to cite the different structures #data can take and their pros and cons, I'm able to understand why SQL is fundamental in #dataengineering and can also explain the difference between data lakes, data warehouses and databases.

I can now explain what data processing consist of and how scheduling holds the data processing task together. Before now cloud computing and the term parallel computing sounds big to me, 😆 not anymore.

I'm super happy because after completing this course I can now tell the main tools and technologies used in #dataengineering.
